I now have a Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/folkviola ! Each month I'll be sharing the sheet music and close-up/slow videos for a new tune. To start the project off, the first tune will be "Return from Fingal", a traditional Irish march. I'm writing some new compositions for viola as part of this project, and I'm also releasing viola versions of some traditional tunes that aren't in my existing books of sheet music. I'll provide the basic melodies, and also suggestions for bowings and ornaments so you can incorporate these elements into your playing as you learn each tune. I'm making studio recordings with chordal backing, which you can listen to or play along with. (There's an option to sign up to just receive audio recordings if you're not interested in sheet music, e.g. if you're not a viola player but you still want to support my music making.) Your support will also help me to continue releasing free videos here on this channel. Hope to see you there!
